DOCUMENT RESTORATION

We are your Document Restoration Experts!

Yes, it is absolutely possible to recover wet, and smoke/fire damaged records and files - but timing is everything. You must act fast!

The document recovery process must start within the first 24 hrs after the damage has occurred in order to prevent ink bleed or mold growth, until your insurance company approves the restoration. Insurance companies most always cover the cost to recover critical company records. Once the restoration is complete, we can invoice your insurance company directly.

We provide immediate remedial response service within a matter of hours.

TECHNICAL SUPERIORITY

A quick and easy disaster response

A new generation of drying processes designed for books, documents, and paper materials can return your damaged articles to a restored, clean and stable condition. Often, after drying and our ozone treatment process is completed, no further restoration is required.

If your documents are exposed to sewage, carry mold, or bacteria, the restoration process will include sterilizing the items using gamma irradiation along with the drying process.

In a restoration emergency, we can work closely with disaster response and restoration companies. Proper consultation with your team before we begin the restoration process ensures a high level of security for your records. If you’re in need of a record or file during the restoration process, our barcoding and inventory records tracking system will find your file and in most cases, we can provide a file transfer.

To prevent records damage in the future or from happening again, consider storing your files securely in our secure fireproof records vault. Ask us for details.

Smoke / Fire

Smoke or Fire Damaged Books and Papers are Restorable.

Our innovative cleaning processes include ionized air washing and deodorization. De-acidification restores chemical balance, and trimming or reprocessing may be required if permanent damage has occurred

When water has been used to extinguish the fire, bacteria and mould may grow and antimicrobial treatments may be necessary. Items will be evaluated on arrival.

Water Exposure

Water Damaged Files Can Be Restored.

Deterioration begins as moisture is absorbed into the paper. Swelling, adhesion, distortion, and discolouration can make the item unusable unless it is correctly processed. Moist or wet paper provides an ideal environment for the growth of bacteria and mould.

Our new thermal-vacuum-freeze dryer, and molecular sieves are specially designed for books, documents, and paper materials.

Mould, Mildew

Contaminated Books and Paper Can Be Saved.

The paper itself is the food source. Mould, mildew, book lice, and other organisms thrive on paper. Often the contamination is worse than it appears as the micro organism breaks through the matrix of the cellulose.

Exposure to industrial toxins or pollutants can cause yellowing and embrittlement. Our technicians can identify the cause and stop the decay.
